Live-in Companion and Caregiver
Being
a live in companion is often a difficult job. It
requires a good mix of authority and the ability
to adjust. On the one hand, the companion is a
paid guest in someone elses house. On the other
hand, it is a sort of "servant" that
will perform tasks the employer or the charge
after whom the companion looks is no longer to
do. Some of the employers may make quite
unreasonable requests that the companion has to
refuse. To do this without offense, needs tact.
